Just a few wood and moss still-lifes for the weekend. The title today refers to a traditional german Christmas song „A rose has sprung up“ or as I saw it „Lo, how a rose e’er blooming“. I changed the rose to moss, „a moss has sprung up“. So did these tiny moss seeds in the first picture :-) Moss and leaves, bark and deadwood, lichen and fungi tell the story of old and new life, all at once. We often think winter is scraggy and dark, but there is so much beauty around. We only have to look!
